About A-Write

Serious support for serious writers.

A-Write is a focused space for writers who want to move from vague ideas to finished books, with structured programmes led by internationally experienced tutors.

A-Write was set up in 2026 by Dr Martin Keaveney. Dr Keaveney has worked with approximately 1,000 writers since 2020, when he founded an online creative writing school during the first wave of the pandemic. Since then he has operated MKCW, a high-quality provider of creative writing and Irish literature courses.

With A-Write, Dr Keaveney aims to reach more writers globally and help them achieve their goals of starting, developing and publishing a novel, collection of short stories, poetry, children’s book, memoir, essays and many other writing projects through the programmes here at A-Write.

Dr Keaveney has assembled a team of similarly qualified writers and lecturers to support writers across the world in achieving their dream of completing a book. Meet the core academic team below.
